Jill Burdeen
Principal, Architecture
Jill loves collaborative design that echoes her clients’ visions and energizes the community. In her role as Principal, she uses efficiency as motivation to creatively fill a site while also producing truly usable spaces. She is enthusiastic about color and patterns and tries to find unique and tasteful ways to incorporate them into project design.
Bringing over 20 years of design experience in the multifamily and mixed-use world, Jill’s project portfolio ranges from townhouse projects on a podium to large-scale, mid-rise apartment buildings, and she has a passion for dense, urban infill developments. She is intimately familiar with the Seattle market, proficient in all aspects of residential architecture – from feasibility through construction – and brings a thorough knowledge of city processes and code intricacies.
Jill holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree, with a focus in Business and Telecommunications, and a Master of Architecture Degree. She has spent time volunteering with groups like Architects Without Borders, Food Lifeline, Noel House, and Marra Farms. When she is not at the office, you can find Jill racing around town with her two daughters chasing rainbows and unicorns. Jill also likes to dabble in party planning and has hopes of someday opening a candy store.
Jill Burdeen is a member of the Board & Vellum ownership group.
