Seattle Business Magazine's 100 Best Places to Work: Hey, That's Us!
On Thursday night, June 23rd, the Board & Vellum crew got dressed to the nines (well, maybe the sevens), and paraded down to the Washington State Convention Center for the 2016 awards dinner hosted by Seattle Business Magazine, honoring the 100 Best Places to work in Washington State. In the small business category, we took home 4th place!
This was our first year placing in the Top 100, but we also placed in the Top 10 for small businesses, which is no small accomplishment! The votes were cast via survey by our very own staff, who truly enjoy working together, and weren’t shy about sharing it. In fact, because of our high placement in our first year, we were invited to be featured in the print version of the magazine – check out the July issue for all the honorees.
The article they wrote for the magazine focused on the work/life balance that is one of Board & Vellum’s core drivers and infused in our company culture. It’s the thing that all employees are looking for in this workaholic nation, and although we do work really hard at Board & Vellum, we also play really hard.
If you follow Board & Vellum at all, you probably already know that we have a lot of fun together, and you might also know that our company culture is the thing we value most (aside from being our clients' advocates, of course). We have each other’s back at every turn, and the company takes care of us with excellent benefits and a beautiful new workspace. To have the chance to celebrate together at a fancy awards dinner was icing on the cake! It was also inspiring to hear the stories of the other honorees, some celebrating for the second, third, or fourth year in a row. We can’t wait for next year!
