May Update: New Office and New Hire
Would it surprise you at all if we told you it's been a busy spring? Of course not! Here are a few updates from the now three-member Board & Vellum team.

This has been one incredibly busy Spring here at Board and Vellum. Lots of fun projects on the boards and in construction right now that are all worthy of an update of their own when I can find the time! Here's a little run down of all the fun projects we have going:
- The website is being redesigned! Now that we are starting to have actual photography of some of our projects and have more content to share we're undertaking a website re-design which should go live in the next few months. It should allow readers to access a treasure trove of resources for their retail and residential projects plus see the cool projects we work on.

We're moving! Pioneer Square has treated us well over the past year and a half but we quickly outgrew the space. Our new office is up on 15th Avenue East in Capitol Hill and is much larger and brighter. We'll have an actual conference room of our own where we can have meetings and lunch presentations. Look for an office warming invite at some point. We move in June 1st. Here is a shot just as they gutted the space to get ready for our new build out.
- We've grown! Matthew Hagen will be joining our team as an Architectural Designer. He's relocating to Seattle from Washington D.C. and is looking forward to joining the team and working on a variety of commercial and residential projects with us. Plus he'll endure my bad jokes...

Ada's Technical Books and Café is under construction up on 15th Avenue East and if you haven't swung by to see the progress I highly recommend it. Here's a fun teaser shot of the new ridge beam that will allow the old house to open up dramatically on the inside.
The new ridge beam helps support the roof and stops it from spreading out now that the interior walls have been removed.
Look for more updates once we are up and running in the new space and with new help to give me some more time to write!
