TI Build-Out for a Modern Coffee Lounge
Armistice Coffee & Cocktail Bar
A coffee shop and roastery by day, in the evening, Armistice transforms into a lounge serving up cocktails and treats.
With their first coffee shop thriving, the Armistice Coffee team sought a cozy and flexible space for their second location, one that would transition from being a coffee bar in the morning to a dessert lounge offering cocktails, beer, and wine in the evening. The design of the interior reflects Armistice’s established brand identity, with pops of green drawing an aesthetic link to their original location.
Accommodating plenty of varied seating types and zones was key to the design, suiting a variety of customers: those bringing laptops and staying a while, as well as those grabbing a drink for a quick debrief with friends. Custom banquettes take advantage of every inch, while bar-height counter seating flanks a beautifully-detailed, custom-built coffee roaster.
On a raised patio, besides plenty of counter seating overlooking the walkways, a collection of chairs tuck around a gas fire pit. Plus, as the coffee shop occupies the corner commercial space at the base of the Lucille on Roosevelt apartment building, Armistice clientele can spill out of the shop to take advantage of the additional tables and seating options in the open lobby cutting through the building. With the feel and hum of a European café, the space is lively day and night.
