2014 Residential Architect Design Awards Cite Ada’s Technical Books & Café

A citation in the “Light/Commercial” category.

In the category of Light/Commercial, Board & Vellum received a citation from Residential Architect for Ada’s Technical Books & Café.

Juror Josh Shelton called the repurposing of salvaged timber and other materials a “sort of artful clutter,” while Gregory Hoss appreciated the “playfulness and quirkiness” of the space. “The handmade and very local materials make it specific to that community,” juror Cary Bernstein said. “It’s visually innovative, even down to the furniture and lighting fixtures, and it’s a very fully considered space at all levels of design.”
