AIA 2030 Commitment
Board & Vellum is an AIA 2030 Commitment Signatory.
The AIA 2030 Commitment is a collective of architecture, engineering, and construction firms that have pledged to take part in the Architecture 2030 Challenge, which aims for net zero emissions in all new buildings and major renovations by 2030. This requires smart frameworks, serious collaboration, and immediate action. It is a lofty goal, but we believe it takes big ambition to address hard challenges.
The built environment accounts for 40% of the world’s carbon emissions. Board & Vellum is an AIA 2030 Commitment signatory because we understand that the impact we have as AEC professionals is immense. This means there is great opportunity for change and improvement in our industry. Our 2030 goals are a component of our larger efforts to bring our community great, responsible design. We will be transparent about our progress and share what we learn throughout the journey.
